Memo and Perla

Memo and Perla are the Ultimate Wedding Grand Prize winners of the WQ Magazine Bridal and Quinceanera Expo that took place last year. They are going to get most of their wedding services for free. I am the photographer. I am not sure how this is going to go and I hope it goes without a hitch. Wish us luck... Below are the engagement shots.

Jacinda's Sweet 16

This past Sunday was Jacinda's Sweet 16. This event seemed to never get here as I was pretty involved in the process. Jacinda is the daughter of Sondra Molina who Co-owns Molina Bridal where I meet most of my wedding clients. Here are a couple of pics from the day.

Enjoy!!

Jamel and Jackeeta

Here is another engagement session from this past week. When first talking to Jackeeta, I could tell right away that there was something special about her. Connie and I made a house call to Jackeeta and Jamel a few months ago. We did our normal sales call and we briefly met with Jamel as Jackeeta made all the arrangements with us. When Jamel greeted us, it was quick and he was off to play X-box 360. I love playing X-box 360, I was almost excited enough to join him as the X-box 360 was just released and he had one.

Anyway, back to the story. When Connie and I met up with Jamel and Jackeeta for their e-session, we didn't know what to expect as we really didn't sit down with Jamel to get a feel for what type of personality he was. Well, he totally surprised us as he was just as sweet and loving as Jackeeta and it totally shows in their pictures.

Thanks and Congrats!!!

Tommy and Carmen Engagement

Over the past week I have shot 6 engagement sittings. Life has been nuts. Here is the first of the six sittings that I will post as I get the images ready for the clients to view.

I met Carmen for the first time about 2-3 weeks ago. She loved our work and really wanted to book us. Unfortunately, I was booked for both the dates she was working with. So I made arrangements to shoot her engagement pictures. Well, a week went by and she called me back and rescheduled her date once again to match an open date of mine. Connie and I were jazzed that a client would do this for us and we are living it up.

We had such a great time taking pictures of Tommy, Carmen and their beautiful children and we can't wait for their wedding day which will take place in November. Congrats guys!!

Enjoy the pics!

George Lopez in Concert @ The Dodge Theatre

Well tonight, my wife and I went to see George Lopez at the Dodge Theatre in downtown Phoenix. We caught his show the last time he was here back on December 31, 2005. This show was being taped for a future broadcast on HBO. Well I have to say, this show was very political to say the least when compared to his show a year ago.

In 2005, his jokes were of his typical Latino flavor. He knows the Phoenix area very well and told some very locally related jokes. Tonight, he went head first into politics and the immigration issues that are facing our country today. I won't go into what he said but I was kind of turned off when he started talking politics.

Why do our celebrities have to go out on a limb like this. I know he is telling jokes but to go out and say "Fuck Bush" and "Fuck this" and "Fuck that" with regards to our government really pisses me off. The guy can deliver a joke like nobody else and tonight was no exception but come on. I was glad that towards the middle to end of his routine that he went back to what I paid to see, him making fun of us Latinos.

To George...
I love ya man but tonight, I left with a terrible grumble in my stomach.

Mr Real Estate

Yesterday, I had the pleasure to work with Randy Thomas, real estate agent @ Re/Max in Palm Valley. We had been rescheduling this sitting about 5 times previously and finally made it happen. We started at his home, which is beautiful by-the-way then went through different model homes in his community for a variety of backdrops. Here are a couple from this sitting

Ad for Arizona Wedding Magazine

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with Candace, a newly wed and a very beautiful woman. The little wedding group I am associated with is working on developing an ad for this year's Arizona Wedding Magazine. We invited Candace to be our model for the day. Here are a couple shots from our shoot.

Tribute to my Tia Sally

It's been a while since I have posted on my blog. This year I am going to try to post more often. Last month my aunt passed away and I took it upon myself to make a tribute to her. This video represents her life and her family.

Enjoy...
